Refresher Course in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology at NEHU
Shri. Kh. Siile Anthony, Director, Human Resource Development & Employment, NEC, Shillong inaugurated the twenty one days Interdisciplinary Refresher Course
in “Nanoscience & Nanotechnology” for teachers of colleges and universities, organized by the UGC-Human Resource Development Centre, NEHU, Shillong, from the 13th November to
3rd December, 2017.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri. Anthony emphasized the need of knowledge
enrichment in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology for the present day society.
The Guest of Honor, Prof. Gautam Saha, Dean, School of Technology, NEHU, stressed upon updating knowledge and experience sharing through such training programmes and also expressed the importance of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in all disciplines of Science and Technology.
The Chairperson, Prof. Rakesh Mohan, Director, UGC-HRDC, stated in his speech the two major objectives behind the Refresher Course, that is to equip the faculty with
latest development in the field of Nanotechnology and to facilitate an intermingling of people from different states, different culture and different linguistics.
He assured all possible help to the thirty one participants registered in the twenty one days programme, who came from different states across the country. Shri. L.R. Singh, the Course-Coordinator of the programme, laid down the framework for the Refresher Course.
