Pre-money valued at £2,035,398, Nano by Saurina was founded by beauty industry vets and sister CTOs Emma and Matilde Saurina, who began their careers in the industry about 40 years ago, and CEO Belén Conde, who touts more than 17 years’ experience in the sector. With a philosophy founded on non-invasive, non- aggressive aesthetic treatments, the Saurinas focus on treatments which solve problems starting at their origins and roots (cellular, tissue and muscle level). The Saurinas co-founded Institut Saurina 39 years ago on Carrer de Provença in Barcelona, a well-respected beauty centre in Spain.

Currently Nano by Saurina manufactures eight products in its Barcelona laboratory; products currently available on its website include Nano Cleansing Emulsion, Antiage Serum, Eye Cream, Mousse Exfoliant and Cellutense. According to the campaign, NbS plans to launch in Berlin, Paris and Milan this year, and to be selling in four European clinics, which will be reached with its own sales force. In 2019, NsB plans to create a network of distributors. The company has loans.

Saurina noted that in 2016, the number of aesthetic medical treatments worldwide increased 9%, reaching 23 million treatments while the global plastic surgery market is projected to soar to $44 billion by 2025. What sets Nano apart from its peers?

Saurina says that the Nano secret is using an active nanotechnology- based substance which allows “product penetration to the deepest layers of the epidermis and acting in the dermis.” Trials show that the skin is more elastic, rejuvenated and hydrated and in an improved condition for aesthetic and anti-aging treatments. Trial results were not posted on the campaign.

Crowdcube Insider reached out to NsB to provide more business stats and details, including an annual sales per product/ country margins per product breakdown, personnel costs, future cash needs, funding use and future products & network of distribution R&D and will post responses when received.

24 days remain on Nano by Saurina’s Crowdcube campaign.
