HONOR has announced two new smartphones in China, the HONOR 90 and HONOR 90 Pro. In other words, the HONOR 90 series has arrived. These devices did launch in China, but they will become global soon enough.

That information was confirmed directly by HONOR in its press release. We still don’t know the exact date, though, but that information will likely be revealed soon as well.

Having said that, these two smartphones do look quite similar, but they’re easy to set apart thanks to their rear cameras. The HONOR 90 has two circular camera islands on the back, while the HONOR 90 Pro has a hexagonal camera design on the back.

There are some similarities between these two phones, spec-wise, but they’re far from being the same. We’ll first talk about the flagship, ‘Pro’ model, and will then move to the regular variant.

HONOR 90 Pro

The HONOR 90 Pro features a 6.78-inch 2700 x 1224 OLED display. This display has a 120Hz refresh rate, and it can project up to 1 billion colors. It’s a curved panel, on all four sides, actually. A 3840Hz Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) Dimming technology is also included here.

The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 fuels this smartphone, while the company included 12GB/16GB of RAM on the inside. The 12GB RAM model is available with 256GB of storage only, while you can choose between 256GB and 512GB for the 16GB RAM variant.

On the front, a 50-megapixel selfie camera can be found, along with a 2-megapixel depth-of-field lens.

HONOR included a 5,000mAh battery here, while the phone supports 100W wired charging. The device has two SIM card slots (2x nano SIM), and supports 5G connectivity.
