ACI Asia-Pacific President Kerrie Mather announces retirement

HONG KONG. ACI Asia-Pacific President Kerrie Mather will retire on 31 January 2018.

Mather will also step down as Sydney Airport Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer at the end of the month

Changi Airport Group Chief Executive Officer and current ACI Asia-Pacific First Vice President Lee Seow Hiang will take over for the unexpired portion of Mather’s term.

Mather has served on the ACI Asia-Pacific Regional Board since September 2011 and was elected President in April 2016 for a two-year term.

She will also retire from her role as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer at Sydney Airport on the same date, as announced last March. The airport has named Geoff Culbert as its new Chief Executive Officer.

“It has been my honour and privilege to serve as President of the ACI Asia-Pacific Region,” said ,” said Mather. “Airports play such an important role in driving our economies and creating jobs, through the growth in tourism and travel, and the significant investment in aviation infrastructure to support that growth and enhance the customer experience.

“I feel enormous pride in our collective achievements, and share your passion for our dynamic industry. It’s been a privilege to work collaboratively with you all to further our strategic goals for mutual benefit. I wish to extend my heartfelt thanks to our members for their trust and support over the years.”

ACI Asia-Pacific Regional Director Patti Chau added: “On behalf of the Regional Board and ACI, I wish to thank Kerrie for her guidance, wisdom and strategic vision in leading ACI Asia-Pacific. We wish her the very best in her future endeavours. Together with the Board, we look forward to working closely with our incoming President, Mr. Lee, in developing ACI Asia-Pacific to advance the collective interests of our members.”
